Later Decline Due to Corruption of Muslim Religious Mentality:

Muslims had attained "world intellectual supremacy" and "world hegemony", in every discipline including science and technology, only about 100 years after revelation of the Quran during 700-750 AD ( George Sarton, Intro. to History of Science, 3 vols. in 5, 1927-48 ); they were then very small minorities in a few countries ( Richard Bulliet, Conversion to Islam in the Medieval Period ). This supremacy was maintained for 600-800 years. The "two cultures", the Islamic ideological and technological, were utilized for the benefit of mankind in a way that never happened in the earlier or later civilizations. Islam covered the two cultures as a total system, al-silm al-kaffah, Quran 2:208. Deviation ( tahrif ) of Muslim religious mentality through reductionism ( takhsis ) and Sufism caused decline of the two Islamic cultures. This resulted in Muslim backwardness, and a great loss for mankind through the other cultures of corruption. Imam al-Ghazali ( d. 505 AH/1111 AD) had detected takhsis long ago. Islam has now been reduced to merely the rituals and superficial aspects of "the five pillors". Even in North America and Western Europe, Islam has been reduced to halal meats, hijab, and beards. Secularization is kafirization: it excludes God and Islam from the two cultures. Modern Muslims are a blinded people ( qawman `ameen, Quran 7:64 ) due to ignorance of the two Islamic cultures and their legacy which had Islamized the West in the Middle Ages, and due to lack of contemporary intellectual efforts.

IISTD Goals and Functions:

Islamization is an individual duty of every Muslim ( fard `ayn ); it is also a Muslim necessity because secularization, through Westernization or Marxism, has failed to develop Muslims even like the modern non-Muslim peoples of the West and East. The goal of IISTD is, therefore, to accelerate contemporary efforts to Islamize all areas of the two cultures. The function of IISTD is to PROMOTE Islamization of ALL knowledge, natural sciences and technology particularly, through the Quran, the Sunnah concerning the two cultures, and Islamic intellectual legacy. Since Islam is the system of Truth, din al-haqq, Islamization includes assimilation of those parts of the modern two cultures of non-Muslims which are in harmony with the two Islamic cultures.
