A2. Sources for Islamization of Secular Education in U.S.A. and World-Wide

IISTD Plan of Action, presented through its brochures and other documents, focuses on utilizing the U.S. intellectual environment and academic system to Islamize secular higher education through the:

1) Arabic Quran ( Quranan Arabiyya, Quran 12:2, etc. ) dealing with each discipline.

E.g., there are nearly 900 verses on water sciences and engineering, and 1400 on economics. Every verse reflects the principle of tawhid, integration of the concept of God with the disciplines presented in the verse. The word Allah and its derivatives occur nearly 2700 times and rabb ( Nourisher ) 970 times! Thus the laws ( ayat ) of all disciplines originate from God Almighty, and must be based on the ideology of the Quran ( See, Waqar A. Husaini, Water Resources Sciences and Engineering in the Quran, and Economics in the Quran ).

2) Books of Sunnah ( Traditions of Prophet Muhammad ), like Kitab al-Kharaj ( Book of Taxation ) and Kitab al-Amwaal ( Book of Economics ), which are lost or forgotten, while Muslims know Sunnah books on mostly the rituals ( the popular "authentic" one )!

3) Islamic intellectual legacy, ignored by Muslims, which had Islamicized the West and the East in the Middle Ages. The most intensive period of Western assimilation of the medieval Islamic ideological and technological cultures was the First-Eighth AH/Seventh -Fourteenth AD centuries ( see, George Sarton, Introduction to the History of Science, 3 vols. in 5, 1927-48, and its discussions in the works of Waqar Husaini ).

4) Assimilation of "truths" discovered in the West and the East in the modern times.
